Jalisco Restaurant is a no-frills Mexican eatery firmly rooted in Coachella's local flavor, offering authentic, straightforward Mexican dishes that draw a steady lunchtime crowd. If you’re after classic street tacos, hearty tortas, or homestyle breakfast burritos, this spot delivers reliably without fuss.

The atmosphere leans toward casual and bustling, with a steady flow of locals who clearly prize the food for its genuine taste rather than flashy presentation. The interior is functional and welcoming, with friendly staff who move quickly through orders — perfect for a midday break that doesn’t drag on. Given how packed it gets during lunch, arriving a bit early can save you a wait.

Jalisco shines with traditional plates like 3 Tacos de Al Pastor, Consome de Birria with Tacos de Birria, and breakfast options such as Huevos y Carne Asada burritos that combine comfort and classic Mexican flavors. For those interested in seafood, the Tostadas de Ceviche de Camaron offer a fresh, lime-cooked shrimp experience, while the Menudo and various tortas add some local variety that’s hard to beat in the area.

Visitors looking for an authentic, home-style Mexican meal with solid portions will appreciate Jalisco’s straightforward approach. It’s especially convenient for workers or locals grabbing a satisfying, affordable lunch. The simple decor and quick service also make it a practical stop rather than a leisurely dining event.

If you prefer your Mexican food without extra sauces or heavy garnishments, this spot leans into that genuine, pared-down style, keeping the focus on well-seasoned meats, fresh tortillas, and hand-prepared salsas. The presence of traditional beverages like horchata adds to the experience, especially on warmer days in Coachella.

Overall, Jalisco Restaurant suits those who want a reliable, taste-driven meal — whether a quick lunch with coworkers or a casual weekend breakfast. Its local popularity and approachable menu speak to a community that values honest Mexican homemade flavors over Americanized alternatives.

During our training, I stopped at this restaurant for lunch. The first time I had a torta and then the next day I had tacos. Both were excellent. The service was great and it’s always a packed house at lunchtime so get there a little bit early. Prices are extremely reasonable as well.

Love this local gem! We drive out of our way to go here for amazing tacos. Pure and simple. This is not Americanized Mexican food dripping in tons of sauces and garnish. This is the real deal. Simple place where all the locals come. The servers are so friendly and nice. Service is quick. Best Al pastor tacos I've ever had!!! YUM

We enjoyed our meal very much. Wet Burrito was delicious. The salsa and hot sauce were good too. We wanted something more made from scratch and Jalisco delivered. Nice family service. Lots of locals dining so you know it is good.

I was looking for some Mexican food in Coachella and found Jalisco, and it was a good experience! From the moment I walked in, I noticed how much people were there! So i assumed it was going to be great! The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was really good. And met our expectations. Definitely recommend!

Tried the tostada, tacos, and my friend had the torta. Very good food. Loved my tostada, but it is definitely not date night food. So messy. But, as I said, very good.
